The ISYS:web Query Results page is where the result of your
query is displayed.
The default ISYS:web Query Results page has the following
A line containing your
along with the number of hits
found and the number of documents
containing those hits. E.g.
Your query: "kramer or litigation" found 59 hits in

current document list, by default 10 documents are shown
per page, any additional documents can be accessed by
Next 10 Hits
link at the bottom of the document list. E.g.

example above shows how the default Document List is formatted.
On the left is the
The document title is a link, by clicking the link you will then view
the document in HTML format on the ISYS:web
Document Browse page
with hits for each of the words searched for highlighted.
Below that is the date the
document was last saved.
"hit(s)" is the
total number of times the words you searched for appear
in the document.
The graphical percentage slider bar is the
calculated relevance of this document compared to the other documents in the same result set.
The "Native" link is a link to
the document in it's native format e.g. ASCII text,
WordPerfect etc. Clicking this link will result in one of
the following events to take place:
Your browser will automatically
display the document requested.
Your browser will invoke a
plug-in or helper application to allow you to view
the document in it's native format, even if for
example, you do
not have WordPerfect installed on your system.
You browser will ask you what
you want to do with the file, in which case you can
elect to save the file to your local Hard Disk or to
open the file into an application.
Some ISYS:web Administrators may add and option to allow you
to narrow down your search results by making a query within the
current query's results.
To query within current or previous results:
Click on the hypertext link or button E.g.
Query Within Current Results
Enter new words to be searched for
with the result list for the current query.
A new result list will be displayed
showing only those documents which were in the previous
results which also contain the new words you searched
